The tire industry is being challenged by OEMs, government entities and others to produce tires with traceability. RFID chip embedded between rubber strips and placed in the tire gives tire manufacturers a robust and already approved solution.
With the newly developed RFID Lamination Line, KE FISCHER is now able to provide an application which laminates the bare RFID chip.
Having been continuously laminated and after being put together, the tags are cut to the individual widths. This makes sure that the strips are of high accuracy and without any offset at the cutting edge. Afterwards, the dimensions as well as functions of the tags are checked; then, the tags are wound up in a spool. These RFID tags are used at the tire building machine.
